Tour essentials
...Crackout give us the lowdown on touring their way

What are the tourbus rules?
Jack - "No talking. We have the no nothing rule on this bus. I think basically that it's big enough for us, but because it's of this size... you know if you're working and your head turns off and journeys take 2 minutes but they've been two hours? It's like that. You either turn off or you've got a cool CD or got a cool video on... But as for the rules of not doing things I think we pretty much do everything.
Steven - we don't really have any rules, do we? There's no rules!
Jack - do what the fuck we like in our bus.

What are the best things about being on tour?
J - I don't really like it much do you?
S - no I don't really like it yet.
J - there's so much stuff... erm... obviously just being in a band on tour is just the coolest thing... Fast food's great, you get fat, spotty. It is just a good time, everyday is a good time. Even long journeys.

And the worst things?
J - I'm experiencing a bad thing at the minute because I was at home before Nottingham. We all had a day off on Sunday and I didn't realise that we weren't coming home from Nottingham, I didn't realise we were staying out. So I packed one pair p socks, one pair of underwear. And we're not coming back for ages. So every morning I've been filling ths sink full of hot water and scrubbing my boxers with soap. So at least I get freshly cleaned ones everyday, handcleaned. But that's my problem at he minute
So you're not going out and buying any...
J - I think I'm gonna have to tomorrow, cos it's either that or just go commando. And it's cold at the minute. I don't really want the swimming pool syndrome. Jumping into a swimming pool... things get cold suddenly...

What are the five things you couldn't live without on tour?
J - Nigel is the best guy to have out on tour. Nigel's the man. He's our tour manager. Without Nigel, things would just be shite. Five? So I need four more. The band obviously, without which we couldn't play gigs. Just the whole team. Seats on the bus...
S - A bass player and a drummer.
J - Nah, I've done that one, that was number two.
S - My new Gameboy
J - That's gonna have to be 3a, cos that's just you. In-van entertainment... Nick what do you reckon?
Nick - Stephen and jack
S - That's what I said as well.
N - Really?
S - Yeah, I said we couldn't do without myself and Jack.
J - Takeaway food. Service stations, KFC. Stupid stuff. We're very comfortable on this tour.
