Last year's inaugural Full Ponty Festival brought big names and local heroes together in Pontypridd for one big weekend of fairground rides and everything from indie to metal. With a bit of support from the Full Ponty Fringe gigs in the city centre, the line-up boasted everything from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Feeder and The Automatic to Dirty Sanchez, Jason Rouse and The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. This year, The Full Ponty is back, bringing with it Lostprophets, Paramore, The Gallows, Henry Rollins, and much more! The biggest rock festival in South Wales, The Full Ponty Festival, returns to Pontypridd's Ynysangharad Park on Saturday 26th May. 2007 marks the second ever outing for the fledgeling event, and this year it promises to be bigger than ever. Following on from last year's one stage, two days event, this year will see two brand new stages in addition to the main stage, with 21 bands playing during the main festival, including Lostprophets, Gallows, Paramore, and, well, more!

Main headliners Lostprophets will be stopping off to play the last date on their current 'Final Transmission' tour. The show will also be the Pontypridd boys' biggest ever date in their hometown. Main support will come courtesy of The Automatic, returning after last year's cracking set, and ska punk stalwarts Reel Big Fish. Elsewhere the Atrium Stage boasts Paramore and rising Welsh power pop band Kids In Glass Houses, while the Coca Cola stage has the brutal Gallows headlining. This year's festival will give you a chance to check out two more of our Tips for 2007; the sweet pop rock of Miss Conduct on the Main Stage and the frantic hardcore of The Ghost Of A Thousand propping up the Atrium Stage.

Kicking off the event as usual will be The Full Ponty Fringe festival, a series of shows in the week leading up to the event. So far Head Automatica will be playing on Thursday 24th May at the Muni Arts Centre, and just recently the legendary Henry Rollins has confirmed he'll be bringing his spoken word tour to the same venue on Friday 25th May for his only UK date on the current tour.
