28 Days, the Australian pop-rockers, were hit by tragedy on the night of November 17, when their drummer Scott Murray was hit by a car in Melbourne and killed. Murray apparently died after falling into a coma. The band are expected to make a statement in a few days’ time.

19-11-2001 : NEWS PAGE UPDATES AND IMPORTANT SITE NEWS

Hello there folks!

As some of you may have realised, the next issue of Rock Midgets.com was due on 5th November. Unfortunately, we've had to put back that issue back to early December. This was due to a combination of illness and personal problems of several members of the team working on this issue, which led to us being unable to have a full issue ready in time. Sorry!

Rest assured that the next issue will be stuffed to the gills with yummy things, such as our Black Fish Records feature, Pentothal, Stampin Ground, Ikara Colt, PSOI, Bouncing Souls, Garbage, Biffy Clyro, Elevation, Hundred Reasons, Hell Is For Heroes, Eels, Bright Eyes, Muse, and tonnes more! There'll also be competitions from PSOI, Alabama 3, Crackout (again, cos you love them so much!), and one or two other things to give away... So hey, that's got to more than make up for the wait, hasn't it?

In the meantime check out our updated NEWS page for details of how Ali G's appearance on the recent Music Awards could cost MTV dear, Ozzy's accident in the shower, some very exciting news about Kylie's pants and other groovy titbits...

But first off, a little run down of what you can find here.

HOME - Where you are now! Here you've got our NEWS section, updated every week with a smattering of breaking news, a splash of gossip and healthy sprig of rock action. Or something. Then we've got the EDITORIAL section, where our beloved Ed has her monthly rant. Every month in the RECOMMENDED section, we'll be bringing you five of the best of whatever - this month it's online indie record stores. And WIN is where you can get details of our competitions - this month we've got giveaways from Crackout, Grebo, and those lovely peeps at Wichita Recordings have bunged us a couple of Bright Eyes and Penfold Plum CDs.

RELEASED - Where you can find all the latest demo, single, album and whatever reviews! This month there's new releases from Crackout, Muse, Tsuji Giri, Oceansize, Preston School Of Industry, Seafood and more!

UNLEASHED - No, not a Sisqó guest spot, but our live reviews section. This month you'll find Capdown, Leeds festival (including our special Rock Midgets 2001 Festival Awards), Deconstruction, Radiohead, and loads of other groovy stuff.

FEATURED - Exposing (in the nicest possible way) the best new bands around. In CAPTURED we've got cool pics taken by our very own top photographers. Then we've got ARTICLES, where we have, erm, articles, and INTERVIEWS, where we have... yeah, well, you get the general idea.

MONSTERS - This is where things get a little interactive... First up we've got US, where you can check out all the embarrassing photos of us.
