"Vuka Vuka!"
Fiel Garvie

It's not often a band manage to make a record which sounds as well, wrong as
this.
"Vuka Vuka" is dark and folky in a Cranberries-ish style, but where
the Cranberries have moments of sexiness and sultriness,
this is dark in a "tripping over things in a room when the light's
gone" way. About as sexy as a yeast infection.
The songs are as tuneless as funeral dirges, leaving the vocalist sounds like
she's singing along to Shed 7 basslines.
The reviews enclosed with this record seem to eerily stop around 1998, so
perhaps we'd better give them the
benefit of the doubt and assume they must have been kidknapped by aliens and
returned to earth without their
melodies in order to record this album, or something.
