"The Pattern Of Self Design"
Kilkus

It's obvious from the first moment of album opener "A.O.C." that Kilkus like
their nu-metal. They come across as a hybrid of Incubus and Boy Hits Car -
the intensity of BHC meets the funkyness of Brandon Boyd's crew. Vocalist
Chris Macaree has an alarming range, going from a "proper" singing voice to a
scream as powerful as anything John Loughlin (Raging Speedhorn) can put out,
especially evident on tracks like the title one. However, so much of this album
is totally generic nu-metal, with little to differentiate it from the massive
amounts of similar bands out there. A shame really.
