Having set many a critics tongue wagging over the past couple of months nationwide, 'St Petersburg' shows exactly why so many people in the know have been getting excited by this young Teesside trio. With spiky, angular guitar lines that hint at Minus The Bear, and a penchant for upbeat disco rock and healthy dosages of yelps and "woos" that point to much missed DC greats Q and Not U, both 'St Petersburg' and its equally stunning B-Side 'X-Ray Bex' push all the right buttons, forcing the listener to their feet and onto a makeshift dancefloor regardless of their will. Currently on tour with Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, and with their debut album This Is My Ship set to drop early next year, Dartz! should soon be huge.

As statements of intent go, it doesn't get much better than this.
